Dell Axim X30The X30 from Dell is part of the X30 series. Very small indeed the X30 is a great little unit for your business or pleasure activities. There are litanies of features that literally make Dell what we want them to be. A fine battery, excellent audio component, and powerful display screen, all made the X30 from Dell a fine choice for your PDA needs.With a transflective TFT color LCD display, the dell X30 is a pretty well equipped visual unit. Add in the 65K color, 240x320 resolutions, and the 3.5” diagonal screen and whether it’s viewing streaming video or showing Grandpa what your new house looks like, it gets the job done. With PDA’s battery life is often one of the most important and contentious issues. The Axim X30 from Dell includes a 950 mA Lithium rechargeable battery which is replaceable. Battery life of this length is fine; extended use battery is almost double the strength of the one included. Dell Axim X30 was built for fun and tunes! Included in the package are a built in speaker, microphone, and 3.5mm standard stereo headphone jack. The Axim X30 has just about everything else your auditory senses could want or would need. Included in this are a voice recorder and Windows Pocket Media Player 9 for your MP3. Though the Axim X30 is inclusive of the usual roster of Windows Mobile 2003 software, there is very little else in terms of third party software. Among these are: Pocket PC 2003 OS (Windows Mobile) Microsoft Pocket Office suite which includes Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook. There are also MSN instant messenger for Pocket PC, MS Reader, as well as handwriting recognition as well as some other third party software. Axim X30 from Dell comes equipped also with 1SD slot for SDIO. Also a lightning fast Intel XScale PXA270 624 MHz processor comes standard on this model PDA. Also standard is the 64 MB RAM though due to this unit’s playability you may want to invest in storage cards as the video and audio you upload will quickly take the place of other programs and files.
