Memory Card
A memory card has so many uses in the PDA and cell phone industry, but which is best for you. Most PDA’s use SD memory card format. These cards have the ability to hold information that you can transfer to your PDA. The sizes vary from 16mb to all the way up to 8gb. The 8Gb is not scheduled to be released until 2008, but I expect to see them way before that. So, what do you put on your memory card? Many people grab the bigger memory card and put pictures of their kids or software they want to use on their PDA. What is amazing about a memory card is their size. They are really no bigger than a postage stamp but can hold tons of information depending on its size.
One important thing you must remember with PDA memory cards is getting the size that will do what you want. For instance if you are planning to put a lot of pictures on it, a 16MB isn’t a card for the job. You would want to go around the 2GB size. The bigger the size the more it can hold. Another thing which is great about memory cards nowadays is you can interchange them into different machines. For instance you can do work on your mobile PDA and save it on the memory card and just remove it and stick that memory card into your home computer. You no longer have to carry your whole PDA and hook it to your computer to transfer data.
Do you want to add GPS to your PDA? The perfect solution is the memory card. You tend to need a lot of free space and most PDA’s just don’t have the room so that’s where the SD memory card comes along. Memory card lets you add many things to your PDA which otherwise you couldn’t. Anymore there really isn’t anything you can’t add to your PDA. So you can see memory cards are an item you want to learn more about and believe me they do work well. I’ve used them for a long time and you just can’t beat them. Since they come in various sizes, you have the luxury of using certain ones for certain things. That way you never have to worry about losing data.
