(Within 500 feet of your units’ central command)The Jandy is compact, water resistant, and handheld; the Jandy even floats. The Jandy has lower installation costs than an in ground, hard wired system. I guess all pools have to have some sort of command so I shouldn’t give the Jandy such short shrift; let’s have a look at some of its other functions and abilities. The Jandy PS 6 is easy to operate; with Windows style, drop down menus, you can control your filter pump, spa switch-over, heater, solar and as many as 7 auxiliary circuits with one push of the button. Jandy PS 6 also has an interface which controls the on-site chlorine production and offers a large, backlit display which tells you signal strength, water temperature, battery charge, day and time of day with comfort and ease. The Jandy PS 6 may not be the biggest discount model system for your pool. But with the constant influx of new machinery coming across the lineup every day; technology is always changing as inventors discover newer, faster, cheaper ways to produce what was once exclusive and expensive for everyone in an inexpensive manner. So locating a cheap Jandy PS 6 model PDA may soon become much easier than you’d ever expected. Once you get your PDA, you’ll want to make sure it lasts. There are numerous sleeves, protectors, and cases available for your use. However, for the Jandy, it’s just grab and go! There really is little need for any ‘case’ as it’s water resistant and floats in the pool! So all you really need to do is place it somewhere it won’t get lost, maybe on the deck or a picnic table, and the build of the Jandy does the rest. You also need to power up your new unit. Like your morning cup of java, power is the essential piece to the complex puzzle of digital communications between you and your pool. Without the juice, connection will be lost so it’s a wise idea to investigate your power source type and availability before you get your PDA. Fortunately for your needs, the Jandy PS 6 battery life is around a full season of pool using on just two AA batteries. So remember every year when you pull back the cover to pop the batteries from your Jandy and your set!
